Dr. Cecile Reynaud retired in July 2015 after a 39-year career at Florida State University. Most recently, she was a faculty member in the Sport Management program at Florida State University and served as the director of their graduate-level online coaching certificate. Her career includes being the head women’s volleyball coach at Florida State University from 1976–2001, winning 636 matches and six conference championships. Reynaud has been the head coach of the Junior National Volleyball Team, an assistant coach at the World University Games, the competition secretary for the Goodwill Games and the deputy competition manager for volleyball at the Olympic Games in Atlanta. Reynaud has been recognized with the USA Volleyball Leader in Volleyball Award and is a member of numerous athletic halls of fame. She received the Frier Award from USA Volleyball in 2015 which is the highest award given and was named to the AVCA Hall of Fame in 2017. She is a past president of the AVCA and served on their board for 10 years. She is currently Chair of the USA Volleyball Board of Directors. She also serves on the Performance Enhancement Team for the USA Volleyball National Sitting Volleyball team, Board of Directors for the Side-Out Foundation, and the FSU Varsity Club Board. She has served as president of the Board of Directors for her local sexual and domestic violence organization and chaired the Commission on Youth Athlete Safety for USA Volleyball. Reynaud has published several books, including The Volleyball Coaching Bible Vol. I & II, She Can Coach and other volleyball books and DVDs.
