Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Head Coach and in accordance with all NCAA, Conference, State and Institutional rules and regulations this position will assist the head coach in all phases of a Division I Women’s Soccer program. The assistant coach will assist with recruitment of prospective student-athletes; including but not limited to official and unofficial visits, electronic correspondence, and on the road recruiting. This position will also assist with practice and game planning, player skill development, as well as weight training and conditioning. The assistant coach will also provide support in a number of administrative duties, such as budgeting, purchasing, scheduling and coordinating practice times. This position also has a role in the public relations and promotional activities of the team as well as providing academic monitoring and cooperating with the Academic Advisor where advising and tutoring issues are needed.
-A minimum of 1 year demonstrated experience coaching soccer at the collegiate or club level, and/or playing soccer at the collegiate or club level.
-Demonstrated evidence of collegiate soccer coaching experience.
-Demonstrated experience in recruiting student-athletes.
-Demonstrated practice planning experience.
-Evidence of experience with academic monitoring of student-athletes.
-Demonstrated experience with athlete skills development.
-Evidence of office management skills.
Appointment/Salary: This is a 12-month full-time limited, non-teaching Academic Staff position with expectation of continued employment. This position comes with a competitive salary and benefit package.
