Description
Provides leadership of all facets of the men’s and women’s fencing program to ensure a quality program and successful Division I team. Actively builds, monitors, and promotes a standard of excellence in academic success, compliance, community service, diversity and inclusion, and student health and safety. Recruits and oversees student-athletes including training and competition. Monitors and supports academic success of student-athletes. Builds and maintains a public awareness of the program. Performs other functionally relevant duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
*High school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent.
*One year experience head coaching fencing at the high school, collegiate or equivalent level.
*Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the University’s Motor Vehicle Policy
Preferred Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s Degree preferably in sports management or related field.
*Three years of head coaching experience in collegiate fencing.
*Familiarity with Northeast Ohio region.
*Professional experience in a metropolitan college/university environment.
