Reporting to the Athletics Director or his/her designee, will lead the NCAA Division I women’s golf program. Manages all aspects of the women’s the golf program and recruits nationally and internationally. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein. Duties include, but are not limited to: successful recruitment of academically and athletically prepared student-athletes; a commitment to student-athlete health and well-being; directing skill instruction and development; coordination of team travel; effective budget management; and monitoring academic progress of student-athletes. Adherence to institutional, conference, and NCAA Division I policies and procedures is required. Secondary responsibilities that align with the selected applicant’s skills and the needs of the athletics department may also be assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Provides leadership, organization and supervision for all aspects of the women’s golf program. (30%) 2. Manages the women’s golf program within the parameters of the approved operating budget. (20%) 3. Supervises student-athletes during practices and games, observing and evaluating performance and demonstrating proper techniques. Monitors the academic performance of student-athletes in conjunction with the student life staff. Evaluates and recruits high-school student-athletes. (20%) 4. Assists with Green Wave Club fundraising efforts as necessary. Assists with marketing and promotion activities for the women’s golf program. Represents the university and the women’s golf program at professional meetings, alumni events, booster club meetings, and other events as necessary. (15%) 5. NCAA Related: Ensures that all Department of Athletics and University related activities operate in full compliance with university, conference and NCAA rules and regulations. Attends and participates in scheduled compliance seminars and complies with all the Athletic Department’s efforts to monitor compliance with NCAA regulations. Seeks interpretations from the compliance staff before acting when necessary. Reports potential rules violations immediately. Completes required compliance paperwork in a timely and efficient manner. Monitors all of their areas and/or programs activities closely to maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations. (5%) 6. Assists in directing or directs sport camps as requested or required. (5%) 7. Performs other duties as assigned by the Sr. Associate Athletic Director, Business & Operations. (5%)

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES TYPICALLY NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY:
1.Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ coaching experience
2.Expertise in the technical aspects of golf
3.Strong interpersonal skills
4.Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and vendors
5.Extremely organized, self-starter, intrinsically motivated
6.Strong organizational, management and leadership skills
7.Proven ability to multi-task effectively
8.Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
9.Proficient computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets
10.Availability to work flexible work schedule including nights and weekends
11.Travel with sport teams for away contests
12.Thorough knowledge of NCAA and American conference rules and regulations
