Goucher College fields 21 intercollegiate teams competing in the NCAA Division III as a member of the highly competitive Landmark Conference. Entering the fourth year sponsoring golf as a varsity program, the Men's team will be seeking their fourth straight conference championship.

Reporting to the director of athletics, the head coach will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all aspects of the golf program, to include coaching; coordinating training; supporting student-athletes; recruiting; and working within NCAA, Conference, and departmental guidelines.  The head coach will be called upon to supervise and coordinate the work of a graduate assistant and assistant coaches, as well as play a major role in fundraising activities for the program. The incumbent will demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity. The head coach will also take on an additional administrative role within the department.


Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's degree. They will also have demonstrated success in coaching golf at the collegiate level, preferably in the role of head coach; and a minimum of three years college recruiting experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; a sophisticated understanding of applicable NCAA and Conference rules, regulations, and policies; and the ability to travel and/or work evenings and weekends, as needed.

Preferred candidates will a Master's degree.
