Description
The assistant coach for softball is responsible for assisting the head softball coach in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division III Softball program at DePauw University. This includes recruiting quality student-athletes, organizing and planning practices and game strategies, scouting, coaching, scheduling, budgeting and planning team travel in compliance with University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) required. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of three year's related coaching experience is required. Up to seven year's preferred. Understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, NCAA Division III athletic experience. Playing and/or coaching experience at the intercollegiate level in softball. Proven ability to recruit quality student-athletes who fit the academic profile of the student body. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to drive on behalf of the University. Current certification in first aid, CPR and AED is required and must be maintained throughout their appointment with DePauw University.
