WeCONNECT Women Coaches

WeCONNECT Women Coaches is coach-led & coach-inspired. Join one or more WeCONNECT huddles to engage in powerful peer-to-peer learning, foster meaningful networking connections and be part of an uplifting support group.  WeCONNECT is designed to bring women coaches from diverse backgrounds, sports, and levels together virtually, to empower each other.

WeCONNECT Huddles Include:

1. Timely Issues for College Coaches

2. Timely Issues for Youth, Club, Middle and High School Coaches

3. Women of Color Amplified

4. Moms In Coaching

5. Inclusive Cultures

6. Book Club

WeCONNECT “Co-Captains” will organize and facilitate throughout the academic year. These dedicated peer leaders will guide discussions to create an inclusive safe space for coaches to share openly and tap into the learning experiences and advice from other huddle members.

Participants may join as many WeCONNECT Huddles as you wish— commit the time, engage regularly in meetings and come prepared to contribute to the conversations. Co-Captains determine the frequency of huddle meetings (no more than once per month) based on member availability.

July 25-August 23 | WeMENTOR Program Registration

WeCOACH offers unique mentoring trios for coaches in all sports, levels, and years of experience. Research shows us that women coaches who have been coaching between 7-10 years are at a pivotal point in their career and statistically leave the profession at the highest rate. To best support coaches at this point in their career, they are the central figure in each trio, serving as both mentor and mentee.
Now in its eighth year, this annual development program aims to provide connections, networking and learning across sports. We remain committed to keeping women in coaching by creating trios to best serve each level of coach, while fostering growth for each individual across experience levels.
Mentoring Matters. This is what you can expect when you are a committed participant in the mentor program:
  • Experience enhanced job satisfaction.
  • Develop better critical thinking skills by addressing challenges at all levels.
  • Grow your professional network across various sports and levels.
  • Be exposed to new and relevant ideas as well as reinforce successful, current practices.
  • Share leadership and management methods.
  • Empower future generations of coaches by creating a culture of empathy, positivity, and respect.
  • Share the importance of networking and mentoring as a channel for professional advancement.
  • Be the catalyst for advancing the mission and values of WeCOACH; generating collaborative and inclusive culture amongst members.

Historically, there has only been one option for the Mentor Program, an 8-month long program. To increase engagement and participation throughout the entirety of the program, we will offer three different cohort options. During the registration process, you will select which session you would like to commit to for the upcoming Mentor Season, Fall Cohort I, Spring Cohort II, or Full Cohort III.

FALL Session Cohort I (4-months):
September-December

SPRING Session Cohort II (4-months):
December-April

FULL Session Cohort III (8-months):
September-April

Registration is open July 25-August 23.

Supporting The Mental Health of Your Athletes & Yourself – How You Can Make A Difference

In this interactive session, coaches will feel empowered to make a difference in breaking the stigma around mental health and supporting the mental wellness of their athletes. Coaches will learn how to recognize warning signs, how to have effective conversations around mental health, and how to implement mental wellness tools to create a supportive mental wellness culture on their team. Coaches in attendance will feel inspired to know that they do not have to be a Mental Health Professional in order to make a difference in helping their athletes. Additionally, coaches will learn hands-on self-care and mental wellness tools for themselves and understand that taking care of themselves is the foundation to be able to take care of anyone else. Coaches will feel empowered to know that their mental health matters, too.
