Bethany College Athletic Department Assistant Positions Available
2025-26 Academic Year
The Graduate Assistant package will include the following:

Athletic Administration
This position will report to the Director of Athletics and assist with various department assignments, including overseeing game day operations and assisting with facility matters. It will also ensure compliance with the NCAA, PAC, and Bethany College policies.
Overview of operations responsibilities: Assisting in daily operations, setup, and breakdown of assigned athletic events. Serve as game day manager for selected home athletic events, including hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating student workers. Overview of compliance responsibilities: Monitor countable athletic-related activity (CARA) and Declaration of Playing Seasons, required PAC compliance paperwork, and contribute to other areas critical to the compliance mission, such as assisting with NCAA reporting, eligibility certifications, and roster management. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, must be accepted into Bethany College’s graduate program, and a valid driver’s license.

Men’s Basketball
This is a 10-month appointment with the opportunity. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with coaching, workouts, administrative tasks, film analysis, driving to competitions, duties during trips, helping with recruiting, and creating social media content. This position will report directly to the Head Coach and is expected to adhere to NCAA and Presidents Athletic Conference regulations as well as the policies and procedures set forth by the Bethany College Athletic Department. Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, must be accepted into Bethany College’s graduate program, and a valid driver’s license.

Equine
This is a 10-month appointment with the opportunity. Responsibilities include assisting the head coach and barn manager with managing horses, coaching, administrative tasks, driving to competitions, duties during trips, helping with recruiting, and creating social media content. This position will report directly to the Head Coach and Barn Manager, the policies and procedures set forth by the Bethany College Athletic Department. Bethany offers 23 teams on the intercollegiate level. Our athletes compete at the NCAA Division III level. Bethany teams have a long-time tradition of not only competing for conference championships, but also for appearances in postseason play. Bison athletic programs are affiliated with the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC). Our Bison compete against several other top liberal arts colleges from the region. In its history, Bethany’s accomplishments include the 1994 NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer National Championship,100+ Presidents’ Athletic Conference championships, 70+ NCAA Tournament Appearances, and 50+ ECAC Championship appearances.
