Lindsey Wilson University is seeking applicants for a Head Cross Country/Assistant Track Coach. The University is a member of the Mid-South Conference and the NAIA. It sponsors 27 varsity/club sports programs consisting of 37 teams and 750+ student-athletes. The head coach will report to the Director of Track and Field and Cross Country and be responsible for all aspects of the cross-country program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: recruitment of student-athletes in accordance with University policy, conducting practices, scheduling, organizing team travel, monitoring student-athletes’ academic and social progress, equipment maintenance and purchases, budget management, fund-raising and administrative duties required to maintain a competitive cross country program. The successful candidate will represent the athletic department in professional, civic, charity and alumni events.
This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits. Qualifications include: minimum of a bachelor’s degree; master’s degree and previous coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. A valid driver’s license is required. The successful candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the Lindsey Wilson mission and align philosophically with an enrollment-driven institution. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
