In conjunction with the Director of Golf, responsible for the coaching, leadership, recruiting, supervision, and promotion of the intercollegiate Women’s Golf program at the University in a manner that will build and maintain a competitive, quality program that reflects the values and high standards of the University.

Administer, manage, and lead the intercollegiate Women’s Golf program at the University in such a manner as to reflect positively on the image and reputation of the University at all times, in accordance with the University’s mission and pursuant to the University’s Statement of Principles for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Develop a sustained model for competitive golf success at both conference and national levels.

Understand, observe, uphold, and champion the University’s academic standards, requirements, and policies; assist student-athletes on the team in satisfying graduation requirements and attaining degrees while recruiting student-athletes who possess the talent to make the team competitive on the conference and national levels.

Teach the mechanics and techniques of golf to the Women’s Golf team members, coach student-athletes, oversee daily practices, analyze and instruct student-athletes in areas of deficiency, and supervise the Women’s Golf assistant coach.

Plan, schedule, and implement team practices using individualized and group training. Coach, teach, and motivate while developing the entire student-athlete with the goal of maximizing their potential in all facets during their time at Notre Dame. Create and develop individual and team activities on a daily basis to align with season and program goals while influencing and directing the moral and academic progress of the student-athlete towards graduation and preparation for life after college. Schedule, oversee, and monitor training and conditioning.

Recruit potential student-athletes by identifying, contacting, visiting, observing, and evaluating candidates who best fit the golf-competitive, academic, and university profiles for ultimate success. Supervise and monitor students visiting the University for recruiting purposes and minors attending camps and/or other activities related to Women’s Golf or the Women’s Golf program.

Hire, manage, and mentor the Women’s Golf assistant coach as necessary and appropriate to assist the Coach in meeting his/her responsibilities. Mentor and manage the Assistant Coach/Director of Men’s and Women’s golf operations with the Director of Golf.

Be knowledgeable of, comply with, assure and monitor the compliance by all individuals or employees supervised by Coach, including without limitation Women’s Golf program assistant coach(es) and student-athletes, with all applicable governing constitutions, by-laws, rules, policies, interpretations, legislation and regulations of the NCAA and the Athletic Coast Conference.

Minimum Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree required.
-Playing experience on a competitive level is required
-Must possess extensive knowledge of the sport and its skills and strategies.
-Strong organization and communication skills are necessary to complete job tasks effectively.
-Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is required.
-The successful candidate must appreciate and understand the academic/athletic balance required of student-athletes at a highly selective and competitive academic institution.

Preferred Qualifications
-2-5 years of coaching experience is preferred
-Masters Degree
